Dr. Matt Stock
Dr. Matt S. Stock is an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida where he teaches within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and directs the Applied Physiology Laboratory. Dr. Stock obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. His research interests involve understanding the neuromuscular adaptations associated with resistance training, aging, fatigue, and disuse. Studies in his laboratory utilize electromyography, motor unit recordings, transcranial magnetic stimulation, twitch interpolation, B-mode ultrasonography, and muscle strength assessments. He has published peer-reviewed manuscripts in over 30 different journals. Dr. Stock is an active member of International Society of Electrophysiology and Kinesiology, the American Physiological Society, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He serves on the NSCA Foundation’s Board of Directors and as a Senior Associate Editor for the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. He enjoys spending time in the laboratory while working with students on their research projects.
Rob Maclennan, M.S.
Rob Maclennan is a Central Florida native who left during his time in the U.S. Navy but has returned to the University of Central Florida to study exercise science. He has earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sport and exercise science from UCF and is now preparing for a Ph.D. Rob’s interests include the role of exercise in injury, public health, and genetics. A lifelong athlete, Rob continues to compete in the sports of strongman and powerlifting. In his free time, Rob enjoys adventures with his girlfriend Demi and shepsky Navi.
